North Broward Medical Center to Host Educational Lecture on Anterior Hip Replacement

Is hip pain keeping you from doing the things you love? Are you considering hip replacement surgery but don’t want the pain, long recovery and precautions associated with traditional hip surgery? You have a choice. Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery using the specially designed Hana table is an innovative, new procedure that allows surgeons to replace the hip without cutting any muscles; resulting in less pain, less scarring and a faster recovery.

North Broward Medical Center to Educate Community on the Latest Advancements in Hip & Knee Replacements

Dr. Bruce Janke, Medical Director of the Joint Replacement Center at Broward Health North Broward Medical Center, and Dr. Steven Naide will host an educational, community lecture on the anterior approach to hip replacement surgery and the latest advancements in knee replacement surgery, including the use of computerized navigation that provides for more accurate alignment and better long term results.

Quick Recovery from New Hip Replacement Procedure

It used to be, for a total hip replacement you could expect to be out of commission for weeks on end, using a walker, crutches, and plenty of caution to avoid any problems. But a new technique offered at North Broward Medical Center (NBMC) has patients up and walking the same day as surgery. Dr. Bruce Janke, medical director for the hip and knee replacement center created a year ago at NBMC, said the new technique allows for faster rehabilitation.
