North Broward Medical Center Surgeons Reach “Hip” Milestone

Deerfield Beach, FL – Broward Health North Broward Medical Center orthopedic surgeons Dr. Bruce Janke and Dr. Steven Naide recently completed their 300th anterior hip replacement using the specifically designed hana table. North Broward Medical Center is one of only a handful of area hospitals featuring the hana table, which is exclusively designed to aide surgeons in the anterior approach to hip replacement surgery.

Quick Recovery from New Hip Replacement Procedure

It used to be, for a total hip replacement you could expect to be out of commission for weeks on end, using a walker, crutches, and plenty of caution to avoid any problems. But a new technique offered at North Broward Medical Center (NBMC) has patients up and walking the same day as surgery. Dr. Bruce Janke, medical director for the hip and knee replacement center created a year ago at NBMC, said the new technique allows for faster rehabilitation.
