I wanted to thank you for performing my hip surgery last week. I guess it went very well, because I was able to return home Tuesday afternoon to complete my recovery. My friends all told me how successful their hip surgery was with you, and that is why I decided to use you as my surgeon. What they didn’t describe to me was how wonderful and efficient your entire staff at Broward Health North was during their hospital stay. Everyone was so professional and very caring.
You arrived to say hello and mark my left hip before surgery. That helped put me at ease for the operation ahead. Then I was taken to the prep room, where a very nice gentleman gave me a sedative to help me relax, and then the anesthetic. The next thing I remember is waking up in the post-operative room. Following that, I was moved to my own private room on the third floor.
From the moment I arrived, every person who handled any aspect of my care did so in a professional, caring, and pleasant manner. The following morning, the physical therapist came to walk me down the hall and inform me that he would be back to take me to rehab class at 1pm. The rehab class was very informative. While I was there, I learned that I would get to go home that day, once the x-ray and radiation were completed.
This demonstration of thoughtfulness and caring by every member of the team has definitely helped to make me (and I am certain many others) feel relaxed about the procedure. What a great help to the recovery process! This is a tribute to the hospital and your guidance.
