“Lighting the Future of Medicine”: Dr. Janke to Present at C.U.R.E. Symposium in Boca

East Coast Orthopaedics is proud to announce that Dr. Janke will be presenting with C.U.R.E. at South Florida’s 7th Medical Symposium. He will be speaking on the topic of anterior hip replacement (our specialization here at East Coast) in his presentation of  “Anterior Hip Replacement: Faster Recovery, Less Pain, Smaller Incision, Less Blood Loss.”  The C.U.R.E. Symposium will also be published in the November issues of BoomerTimes and Senior Life Magazine


New Hips Won’t Stop This Tourist!

A local travel agent had both of his hips replaced recently by Dr. Janke, but that didn’t stop him from exploring the world after recovery!
Philip and many others can attest that their quality of life is much improved after surgery. With the proper care and physician instruction, it is possible that patients may return to more active lifestyles. Thanks for the letter and photos, Philip!

            You replaced both of my hips on February 19, 2015.  As you know, I have had an excellent result and I am so grateful for your good work.
Last month, my wife and I were on a cruise to the Adriatic and we visited Dubrovnik, Croatia.  The city has a 1.3 mile long wall around it that you can walk on and see breathtaking views of the city and the ocean.  The catch is that you have to climb 119 steep stone steps to get to the top of the wall. It was no problem for me! I kept up with the 20 somethings all the way!  Thank you for the good job on my hips.  You make a difference in patient’s lives, perhaps more than you realize.

Doctor Malloy Visits China! Spine Experts Meet for the Spine MIS Forum in Shanxi


Bonovo-sponsored US Spine Expert, Dr. John Malloy attended the
“Typical Spine Case Study Summit: Spine MIS Forum” in TaiYuan, Shanxi in August 28, 2016

“Typical Spine Case Study Summit –Spine MIS Forum” combined with Spine MIS Training Session was held in TaiYuan, Shanxi Province on August 28th, 2016. The meeting was organized by the Orthopedics Branch of China Healthy Promotion Foundation, Orthopedics Online, the Spine Deformity Group, Orthopedic Committee of Chinese Medical Education Association and Shanxi Academy of Medical Sciences. Shanxi Dayi Hospital successfully hosted the forum. The President of COA and Beijing Jishuitan Hospital Prof Tian Wei and Prof Zhou Yue of XinQiao Hospital also gave wonderful speeches at the meeting. More than 20 famous spine surgeons specialized in MIS attended the meeting and participated in case study discussion.

As a co-sponsor, Bonovo invited Dr. John Malloy, a spine surgeon from East Coast Orthopedics PA, USA to attend the meeting through the BAA program. Dr. Malloy is very experienced in spine MIS surgery and he gave an excellent talk on “MIS Lateral Lumbar Fusion” using RTI CrossFuse. His talk triggered an intensive discussion on spine lateral fusion surgeries among the surgeons.

Bonovo as an exclusive distributor of RTI/Pioneer products participated in the forum with a booth show. Dr. Dines De, Senior PM of Bonovo was offered an opportunity to give a talk on BacFuse, an interspinous process fusion plate during the satellite meeting. BacFuse is the only CFDA cleared device of the category in China, which attracted a lot of interests. Bonovo’s China-north regional manager, Miss LI Jie, and Regional Sales Manager Leshem Ni, also attended the forum and gave an excellent introduction of Bonovo’s products to all the attendees.

Malloy: Attends Typical Spine Cast Study Summit- Spine MIS Forum

Dr. Malloy Poster Presentation: Cervical Radiculopathy Treated with Posterior Cervical Cages

Dr. Malloy will be participating in a poster presentation with Timothy Niedzielak and Robert Blok in Washington, DC with AOAO and in Ft. Lauderdale for the 2016 CEME Scientific Research Poster Competition. The presentation will address Cervical Radiculopathy Treated with Posterior Cervical Cages, as shown by 76 patient cases.

The poster was created by the presenters to provide valuable information concerning the process of  treating Cervical Radiculopathy with Posterior Cervical Cages.
